Our Story

Our story started with an experienced septic tank installer from Northern Minnesota who saw, time and again, homeowners who lacked protection or who were tired of the inconvenience and unreliability of using crude methods to prevent freezing. In fact, the problem was so widespread that in the winter of 2003, nearly one third of household septic systems in the state of Minnesota failed due to freezing. That figure represents approximately 200,000 septic systems our of the 640,000 systems in the state.

Septic System freeze-ups are not exclusive to Minnesota, and are seen commonly in other Northern states as well as in Canada - so much so that septic system thawing services often cannot keep up with the demand. Aware of this the same man has spent the last six years researching and testing to find a superior solution to this widespread problem. The result of his search was a simple, cost-effective product which could work reliably for thousands of householders. Septic Saver, Inc. has recently acquired this blanket design to reproduce it in a way that is both affordable and convenient for residential use. We hope to see one day that septic system freeze-ups are a thing of the past!
